In response to this round of snowfall, the Beijing Electric Power Department has launched an emergency warning response and deployed more than 8000 power support personnel to conduct temperature surveys in key transformer and distribution station rooms and transmission lines. As of 9:00 am on February 21st, the overall operation of the Beijing power grid is safe and stable, with sufficient power supply.
Chen Haiyang, Deputy Director of the Marketing Department of State Grid Beijing Electric Power Company, said, "During the snowfall period, we focused on strengthening the electricity safety guarantee for six types of heating customers, including boiler rooms and other centralized heating customers, as well as hospitals and nursing homes' coal to electricity '(users). We arranged for 2000 customer managers to actively carry out extended services and respond to customer electricity needs 24 hours a day."
In Shexian County, Handan City, Hebei Province, there has been widespread snowfall and cooling weather since yesterday, causing snow to accumulate on some transmission line towers. The local power department has arranged 12 emergency repair teams of over 140 people to conduct special inspections and snow removal work on important transmission corridors and stations using online monitoring and unmanned aerial vehicles.
Affected by cold air, many areas in Shandong are experiencing rainy, snowy, and freezing weather. To ensure the safe and stable operation of the power grid, the power departments in Dongying, Tai'an and other places in Shandong Province immediately carried out line inspections and de icing work. In Zibo, during the Spring Festival travel season, the local power department strengthened monitoring and early warning of railway power supply lines, timely eliminating safety hazards such as line icing, loose bolts, and abnormal joint temperatures, and fully ensuring the stable operation of the Spring Festival travel railway. The Xintai Power Department conducted overnight inspections of distribution lines and coal to electricity conversion areas, strengthening power supply guarantees for infrastructure such as transportation and communication, as well as for livelihood customers such as water supply, gas supply, and heating.
Zhao Yepeng, an employee of State Grid Xintai Power Supply Company, said, "Our transmission inspection team dispatched 5 pilots and 6 vehicles to conduct a three-dimensional inspection of 16 lines, focusing on de icing work on 5 main lines related to agricultural vegetable greenhouses. We also conducted blind spot inspections on power lines and equipment to fully ensure the strong and reliable operation of the power grid in our jurisdiction."
